Yep... My friends Rowan and Carmen came over last night to choose the perfect dress to wear to the "cast and crew" premiere and party. Rowan is in the movie! How cool!


But even cooler is that they wanted to wear one of my designs! 


I had a lot of fun helping them choose a dress!

I even made them matching headbands!

I MADE HER A DRESS AND SHE LOVED LOVED LOVED IT!
SHE TRIED IT ON AND EVEN HAD ME "PIN" IT ON CAMERA!
SHE DIDN'T HAVE HIGH HEELS SO SHE WORE MY SISTER'S !!!!!!

I TAKE THAT AS A HUMUNGO COMPLIMENT BECAUSE SHE HAS GREAT STYLE!
SHE WAS WEARING HIGH WAISTED PANTS WITH A FAB BLOUSE TUCKED IN! AND THE SHOES!!! OMG ! LOVED THEM! I WANT THEM!

GIVING BACK... CHILDRENS HOSPITAL

I KNOW IT IS IMPORTANT TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE - TO GIVE BACK...

I REALLY FEEL LUCKY TO HAVE ALL THIS GOOD STUFF HAPPENING TO ME

SO IF I CAN MAKE SOME YOUNG KIDS FEEL BETTER WHILE THEY ARE SICK AND NOT FEELING SO GOOD, THEN I AM HAPPY.

I AM GOING TO START GIVING DRESSES TO GIRLS WHO ARE PATIENTS AT
CHILDRENS HOSPITAL LOS ANGELES...

IT IS NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE SICK THAT THEY SHOULD NOT FEEL GREAT ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE WEARING.

Today ! I was so lucky to meet Diane Von Furstenburg today!


She is such a fashion icon in the fashion industry. It was amazing. She was so nice!


I asked her why she doesn't have a children's line... She said "Because I want little girls to dream of growing up and getting to wear my dresses as adults!"

SO: MY ADVICE ON DESIGNER'S BLOCK:

DO NOT EVER TRY TO DESIGN IF YOU ARE NOT INSPIRED....
YOU MUST BE IN THE MOOD!
AND BTW.... YOU DO NOT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE IN A HAPPY MOOD TO DESIGN... GREAT STUFF HAPPENS IN ALL KINDS OF MOODS!

It seems lots of you made comments about the Bella Thorne blog...


It was super cool making a dress for and meeting her! But the best part of all of this is that I saw that she is just a really nice and normal girl! That is what I think is super cool!


I do hope to design a dress especially for her 
for  the Young Actors Awards and for the Kids Choice Awards!

MY SERGER MY WIZARD!!!

Guess what I did today?


I learned how to use a Serger!


Part of being sponsored by Singer is that they gave me one!
I know, I am so so so LUCKY ! 
I know most of you are wondering ...
first of all,  what is a Serger ?










It is an "overlock" sewing machine with five spools of thread! Yep! Five needles to thread! 

Basically, it is a super-uper cool sewing machine that will finish edges of fabric while cutting at the same time! I know: complicated but very cool!






and second of all, why on earth is that so exciting?


Well, a Serger is like a wizard! As soon as I know how to use it, ... OMG! Just wait!

Today I had no school in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr...
I have dreams, too!
I have a dream that there will be no poor children.
I have a dream that all little girls will get to wear dresses if they want to.
I have a dream that all children will be healthy and that all babies will get milk.
I have a dream that all children in Haiti will be okay and that their schools will be rebuilt.
I have a dream that all children will get to learn.
I have a dream that all children will get to pursue their dreams.
